Present ideas to get grieving parents this Christmas.

For some parents, Christmas can be a very difficult time no matter how long ago they lost their little one. Christmas is about children and making the experience as magical as possible but there will be parents, who will be feeling very low this time of year because they will be missing out on spoiling their little one, missing out on seeing their little one’s eyes light up when they open presents or getting excited on Christmas Eve.

With the help of some members of our support group, we have come up with a list of gifts that you can give to parents that have lost their little one to help bring a little comfort to them this Christmas and let them know that you are thinking of them at this difficult time of year.

A Personalised Bauble

A personalised bauble with the baby’s name and date of birth, will make a beautiful addition to the Christmas Tree.

A Named Star

A beautiful gift to give to the parents to remember their little one every time they look up to the sky.

Willow Tree Ornaments

Willow Tree Gifts have some beautiful comfort, sympathy, and remembrance ornaments. You can visit their website here.

Jewellery

Some of our group members have received jewellery to remember their little ones. Engraved jewellery with their children’s names, including the ones they have lost.

Candle

A candle can also be a lovely gift idea. Every October we ask everyone to light a candle during Wave of Light to remember the little ones that are taken too soon. A candle may also be lit on Christmas Day, and baby’s birthday.

Donation to a charity close to their heart

The parents would also appreciate a donation to be made to a charity close to their hearts, like this group for example or a charity like Aching Arms Bears.

Christmas Cards

Please don’t forget that if you are sending a Christmas Card to a family that have lost a baby to include the babies name. This would mean so much to the parents.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you have any questions about our group, please do not hesitate to contact us at angelsandrainbowsgroup@gmail.com
