Angels and Rainbows is a pregnancy and baby loss support group based in Lowestoft, Suffolk supporting families in Norfolk and Suffolk, created by local mum of two boys Justine Maher in November 2018.
“We are here to support families that have suffered the unimaginable; A pregnancy/baby loss.”
After experiencing two losses herself, Justine sought to find support but found that there weren’t any support groups in the local area where she could reach out to other families who understood her situation.
So, that’s when she decided to set up her own group and founded Angels and Rainbows.
Support for families
Our support group initially started with a private Facebook group but has grown into regular meet-ups between members, coffee mornings, pamper events, counselling and more. You do not have to attend any of the meetings if you don’t feel ready to, there is no pressure. We try to accommodate everyone as we understand that everyone has their own needs and how they cope with a loss.
Fundraising and Donations
Angels and Rainbows became a registered charity in 2022.
We organise regular fundraising events in Suffolk and Norfolk and have also hosted pamper events, football tournaments and raffles. Some of our group members have organised their own fundraisers to help raise money for the charity. We have also received very generous donations from local businesses.
